In the original animated film, when jumba and pleakley arrive on earth to try and hunt down stitch, aka experiment 626, they disguise themselves as humans, notably with pleakley dressing as a woman. Jumba and pleakley's drastic changes are indicative of my wider feelings about the lilo & stitch remake, and how revivals like this have no reason to exist beyond profits, especially when you need to remove so many key themes, characters, and jokes to make them a reality. Lilo & stitch director dean fleischer camp tried to put pleakley in a dress to make the character more accurate to the animated film, but disney denied it
