At my last oil change, i noticed that there were signs of oil on the belly pan beneath the dsg Poor pcv system and failures of it can cause overpressurization of the crankcase causing rear main seal to blow out. I didn't see any obvious signs of leak and started tracing it up and it appears the leak is coming from the plug for the mechatronics unit on the top/front of the transmission

Evidently the fluid can begin leaking through the pins of the connector. Pretty common on 2.0tsi unfortunately My question is is the dsg cover removed during a engine install and could it be leaking from there

*update 9/29/23 replaced the dsg clutch cover and fluid

No more leaks the clutch cover had a small tear and caused fluid to come through when warm Drove 500 miles and leak is no longer applicable Just wanted to share a fix i came up with for a leak i had at the dsg mechatronic plug — specifically from the small vent pinhole that I know a few others have run into this issue, so hopefully this helps someone

The leak was slow but persistent, and after some inspection, i found it was. Discovered this dsg oil drip gathering at the bottom of the transmission where it meets the engine Checked the usual spots (filter housing, drain plug, shaft seal) and when wiped down they stayed dry A friend, who's an audi tech, thought it might be the inner plate seal

I noticed the dsg appeared to be leaking so i took it back the dealers for investigation today

Initially this looked like a careless dsg oil change where they'd not cleaned up after themselves But a closer inspection from the master tech confirmed that there's a leak from the casing/gasket (where the dsg bolts together), see the attached picture. Hi everyone, my car is a gli 06 with dsg transmission, i'm having a leak of dsg fluid between the engine and transmission downside bolts, al ready check the filter and no signs of leaks there, what could be failing I'm very stressful for that :( sent from my iphone using tapatalk

The oil pan was very wet so i will ask you guys where i should start to search troubleshooting or what it might be The gearbox shifts well but ive felt like stutter or. After i changed my oil the other day, i noticed some kind of lube leak Starts part way up over the dsg fill/drain

Looked closer today and it seems like there might be a crack in the case at right angles to the edge where it mates to the (bevel box?) just wondering if this is unusual or a common thing, i have 96k miles on it, and did the dsg fluid service a couple times, last one under 20k.

The rear main seal is between the engine and trans where the crankshaft is on the engine side so when it goes you will see oil leak down to where the trans and engine mate
